Sonic Advance 3 es un videojuego desarrollado por SEGA en 2004 para la plataforma portátil Game Boy Advance. Este juego es el tercero de la serie Sonic que aparece para una portátil de Nintendo y, además, permite al jugador, por primera vez en esta plataforma, interactuar entre dos personajes para avanzar en la aventura.

Sonic Advance 3 tiene la mecánica de mapas donde hay 7 portales, los cuales el Dr. eggman ha cambiado con el poder de las Esmeraldas del Caos. El Dr. Eggman usa la energía de los chaos para separar el mundo y Sonic quiere evitarlo, pero esta vez Miles (Tails) y sus amigos le ayudaran a detener al Dr. Eggman.

Hay 7 zonas en total, cada zona tiene 3 actos (más el jefe, dos minijuegos y la fase especial).

Sonic Advance 3 (ソニックアドバンス3 Sonikku Adobansu Surī) is a platform video game for the Game Boy Advance developed by Dimps and Sonic Team and published by Sega in Japan and THQ in North America and Europe. It was released worldwide in June 2004. It is part of the Sonic the Hedgehog series; and the chronological sequel to Sonic Battle. The game stars the characters Sonic, Tails, Amy, Knuckles, and Cream as they seek to keep Doctor Eggman and his robot assistant Gemerl (ジーメル Jīmeru?) from building empires on each of seven chunks Eggman has divided the Earth into.

The game is a fast-paced 2D platformer that takes place across seven zones, each divided into three acts and a boss fight. It allows one or two players to control any two of the five characters; each one has different abilities that allow players varying access to parts of levels. While the graphics are mainly 2D, the game features some 3D rotation effects. It sold quickly upon release and received positive reviews from critics, who praised its gameplay and aesthetics, though they were more divided on the team-up dynamic.
